“I Have Too Much to Do, and I’m Bored”
Apr 17
Every heard that?
I used to say something along those lines to my mother, except that it used to start with an “I’m bored” and then she’d list all the unpleasant things I could be doing, like cleaning my room.
This is not a good thing when it happens consistently at work. Many of you are probably rolling your eyes. There’s that Carolann, master of the obvious.
For those of you who have days on end that are both boring and busy, what does is it telling you? If you’re like I used to be, you didn’t really have time to think about it.
So, what’s it telling you?
What it told me was that my career had gone down a path into something I didn’t like. In fact, I’d built an entire skillset, certifications and all, around a job I hated to do. That’s no way to live.
Is it telling you you’re in the wrong job? In the wrong company? What do you think?
Now isn’t the best time to quit your unfulfilling job, but it isn’t the worst time to look. I have a proposition for you. I am leading the “Replacement For Outplacement Bootcamp.” The next one starts soon, and there’s are FREE preview calls coming up. While the program is targeting those who are out of work, if you’d like to embark on a new opportunity, this FREE call will give you some tips.
Life is too short to be bored.
